The agreement, signed on the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, symbolizes the dedication of both institutions to advancing global education, fostering intercultural dialogue, promoting academic collaboration, and expanding international research initiatives.
Founded in 1997, Kazakhstan-American University (KAU) is one of Almaty’s leading higher education institutions and a pioneer in integrating Kazakhstani and American educational models. Established by Amirlan Aidarbekovich Kusainov, KAU introduced Kazakhstan’s first dual-degree programme through partnerships with renowned U.S. universities, laying the foundation for its strong international outlook. Over the years, the university has earned recognition for its commitment to academic excellence, becoming a member of the Association of American Colleges & Universities (AAC&U) and successfully achieving international accreditation through the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA). Today, KAU is recognised among Kazakhstan’s top universities and continues to prepare globally minded graduates through innovative programmes, international collaboration, and a forward-looking approach to higher education.
